The following is from Dominik's entry in River Valley wiki

  • author — person who writes an article.
  • publisherSayanha by default, but publisher transferrable to someone else for a fee.
  • editor — someone typically at a university department, supported by an editorial board.
  • copy editor — someone who corrects the spelling, punctuation, layout and so forth.
  • referee — someone organized by the editor who produces a judgement on the publication-worthiness of the article.
  • content editor — someone familiar with the academic field of the article who edits the article for matters of intellectual content. The referee does this to some extent. The editor or someone on the editorial board may also do it. But it might be someone else, entirely.
  • (journal) secretary — often the editor's departmental secretary, but sometimes a fully-funded person, who does all the real work of correspondence and organization. Some of this functionality will be offered by Sayanha.
  • journal manager|production editor|secretary
  • printer — Need to locate print on demand service providers from US, UK and India.
  • designer — Shall be provided by the Editorial Board of the journal.
  • distributor — company who warehouses and delivers physical copies of printed journal.
  • A+I vendor — include third-party companies that provide crucial discoverability services such as Scopus (Elsevier) and Thomson-Reuters (Web of Science). It is vital to ensure RVT platforms provide data feeds to these, and others.
  • librarian(s) — a vitally important role/community. We should at some point engage with them.
