The '''sfadb''' [[Wikipedia:Template messages|template message]] is usually displayed in the references section of a [[speculative fiction]] writer or artist's Wikipedia biography. It provides incomplete citation to the person's page in the Science Fiction Awards Database (SFADB).<br />

SFADB succeeded ''The Locus Index to SF Awards'' in August 2012. Among other things SFADB provides a single index to person pages where the Locus Index (which remains online but is no longer updated) provides separate indexes of Art, Dramatic, and Literary Nominees.<br />
<br />
Both databases cover many fantasy and horror awards as well as science fiction awards, so 'SF' may be considered short for [[speculative fiction]].<br />
