This is a project to create standard set of fonts in Malayalam language open type format for general use in web, computers, typesetting and print. The fonts shall have following salient features:

# shall have comprehensive set of Malayalam glyphs as provided in [http://www.unicode.org/charts/PDF/U0D00.pdf Unicode version 6.3].
# shall have the following weights and shapes:
## normal or medium
## medium italic
## bold
## bold italic
# following variants will be added in future:
## thin, light, semi bold, extra bold, heavy, black
## condensed and bold condensed
## narrow regular, condensed, wide and extra wide
