We should formulate and publish guidelines on ethics and peer review. Ethics can include statements about Sayahna as an organization/entity (how we conduct ourselves etc), but there should be clear policies on the expectations of ethical behaviour by authors, including, and particularly, plagiarism. Intertwined into this is, of course, the ethical behaviour expected of referees and editors. Clearly, the specifics of peer review will vary by journal but it would be a positive move to have some general guidelines that Sayahna as an entity subscribes to (lack of bias/prejudice etc). Personally, I think these all contribute to projecting the "right image".
