This template exists to provide a simple way of providing a link from a Wikipedia article on a ship, ship class, or person to a strong article on the same fare on The Dreadnought Project, a history Wiki that specialises in naval history during the period 1880-1925.
Usage
{{DP-xlink|URL-OF-DREADNOUGHT-PROJECT-ARTICLE}}
CAUTION: do not have any whitespace in the single argument. I will try to make this more robust as I learn more.
Example
For John Jellicoe, 1st Earl Jellicoe:
- {{DP-xlink|http://dreadnoughtproject.org/tfs/index.php/John_Rushworth_Jellicoe,_First_Earl_Jellicoe}}
- becomes...
- The Dreadnought Project: John Jellicoe, 1st Earl Jellicoe
The PAGENAME of the Wikipedia article is always used, even if the Dreadnought Article being linked to differs. Its correct use requires an editor to make a good faith choice to link to articles with the same subject.
